VISIT TO PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, 27-30 DEC, 2022

VISIT TO PALM SPRINGS FROM 27-30 DEC, 2022-TO CELEBRATE THE UPCOMING NEW YEAR 2023

A Family Getaway to Palm Springs, known for desert area in California, a holiday resort. As the year came to a close, my family members including Anu, Anil, newly wed Shray and Ayesha, Sahil, Akhil, Avni, Ananya, Subhadra and myself decided to embark on a much-needed getaway to Palm Springs.

Air BNB at Indio, Palm SpringS

We stayed at a cozy Airbnb in Indio, which had a lake and swimming pool in the backyard – the perfect setting for some quality family time.

Down Town of Palm Spring

On our first night in Palm Springs, we headed to downtown to indulge in some delicious cuisine. The vibrant and lively atmosphere of the downtown area was just what we needed after a long day of travel. We enjoyed some mouth-watering dishes and soaked in the lively vibe of the city.

Aeriel Tramway and Mount San Jacinto

The next day, we set out for a ride on the Aeriel Tramway. The tram car itself is a rotating, enclosed cabin that can hold up to 80 passengers. It travels on a 2.5-mile long cable and ascends over 5,800 feet in elevation. The journey takes about 10 minutes, and during that time, we admired the views from the large windows of the tram car.

At the top of the mountain, there are various activities and amenities for visitors to enjoy, including hiking trails, a restaurant, and a gift shop. The temperature at the top of the mountain is typically much cooler than at the base and therefore we had sufficient clothing to protect ourself. The tramway ride took us on a scenic journey from the desert floor to the top of the mountain, where we embarked on an unforgettable hiking experience. The stunning panoramic views of the Coachella Valley from the top of the mountain left us in awe.

Joshua Tree National Park

On the third day of our trip, we visited the Joshua Tree National Park. The natural beauty and unique landscapes of the park were simply breathtaking. We hiked through the park’s scenic terrain, taking in the stunning desert wildlife and rock formations.

Palm Springs Art Museum

On our last day in Palm Springs, we visited the Palm Springs Art Museum. The museum’s impressive collection of modern and contemporary art, including glass art by Dale Chihuly, was a treat for the eyes. We were amazed by the diversity and talent of the artists featured in the museum’s rotating exhibitions.

Overall, our trip to Palm Springs was the perfect way to end 2022 with our family specially with the newly wed couple Shray and Ayesha. The scenic beauty, vibrant culture, and exciting experiences made it a trip to remember. The memories we made on this trip will be cherished for years to come.
