We the four family members including daughter Anu, son-in-law Anil, wife Subhadra and myself wanted to explore Reno and Lake Tahoe in winter by road. We started on Feb 11, 2023 from Fremont via truckee to Reno and after stying there for a day proceeded to Lake Tahoe.
Reno
The route from Fremont to Reno via Truckee was beautiful, thrilling, adventurous, filled with scenic vistas. Reno is a vibrant city situated in the heart of Nevada. In Reno we stayed in Plaza Resort Club, which was a comfortable and cozy resort in the heart of the city. There we explored casinos in eldorado, pepperill, grand sierra, Atlantis casino, and silver legacy where we enjoyed a variety of games and entertainment options.
Lake Tahoe
The next day we then drove to Lake Tahoe, the entire route was full of mountains covered with snow, it was a heart breaking experience. There we stayed in hotel Harveys Resort which offered breathtaking views of the lake and the surrounding mountains. Our nephew Deepanshu was already stayin there with his family. It was a comfortable resort having casinos. The stunning alpine lake straddles the border between California and Nevada and is renowned for its crystal-clear waters, picturesque mountains, and top-rated ski resorts. The next day we enjoyed seeing skiing on heavenly mountain, which is one of the largest and most popular ski resorts in the region. We went up by gondola to the mountain, which offered panoramic views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The town of South Lake Tahoe, is situated close to the ski resort, offered a range of dining and shopping options, as well as nightlife entertainment. We had our dinner in the hotel along with nephew family and the next day lunch in a nearby restaurant. We then returned to Fremont on Feb 14, 2023.
In conclusion, our road trip from Fremont to Reno and Lake Tahoe was an unforgettable adventure. We enjoyed the casinos and entertainment in Reno and the seeing skiing and winter sports in Lake Tahoe. The breathtaking views and natural beauty of the region made our trip a memorable experience that we will cherish for years to come.
